Billing technology and outsourcing firm Benaissance announced that co-founder Mark Waterstraat has been named to a new job in company strategy and Brian Ridder is the company's new vice president of sales.
Benaissance appoints two to exec posts
Waterstraat is leaving to take on the newly created job of chief strategy officer at Omaha, Neb.-based Benaissance. The role is intended to help the company find new growth opportunities, according to a news release. Benaissance provides software-as-a-service and single-point individual subscriber billing services for health insurance exchanges, national benefit administrators and health plans.
Ridder, meanwhile, brings 20 years of executive experience to his new role succeeding Waterstraat in sales. Ridder, an adjunct professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University, previously worked at a large bank and at the 10th-largest payment processor in the U.S., according to the release.
Neither of their ages was available at deadline.
