Electronic health-record company SimplifyMD, Alpharetta, Ga., has named Michael Brozino president.
Brozino tapped as president of SimplifyMD
Brozino previously was senior vice president of marketing at McKesson Provider Technologies, according to a SimplifyMD news release announcing both his appointment and a $4.5 million investment in the company. Brozino, who will also serve on the company's board of directors, has spent 23 years in healthcare and has previously worked for Eastman Kodak Co. and A.L.I. Technologies, the latter of which was acquired by McKesson. His age was unavailable at deadline. Venture capital firm Intersouth Partners led the company's financing, which will be used to expand SimplifyMD's sales team and for marketing opportunities, according to the release.
