Vista Equity Partners has closed on a previously announced deal to acquire the physician electronic health-record division of the Sage Group.
Vista Equity completes Sage EHR buy
In a news release about the completion of the previously announced $320 million deal, Tampa, Fla.-based Vista Equity Partners said the acquired assets would be renamed Vitera Healthcare Solutions. The company will market EHRs, practice management and revenue-cycle products. Betty Otter-Nickerson, formerly president of the Sage Healthcare division, will remain with Vitera through December. Matthew Hawkins, formerly vice president and general manager of Henry Schein Practice Solutions, was named CEO of Vitera, according to the release.
