The consortium will consist of 401-bed Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Fla.; 394-bed Boca Raton Regional Hospital; 403-bed Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, Fla.; 463-bed St. Mary's Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Fla.,; and 185-bed West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton.
Officials from those facilities will work with faculty from Florida Atlantic's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton to offer medical students more opportunities, according to a news release.
"Collaborating with these five outstanding hospitals will substantially enrich the educational opportunities available for our medical students, residents and faculty and will ultimately benefit the generations of patients for whom they will care," FAU President Mary Jane Saunders said in a statement.
