Linda Chang has been named senior vice president and CFO of PharmAthene, an Annapolis, Md.-based biodefense company. In her new role, she will be responsible for accounting, finance and information technology, according to a PharmAthene news release.
PharmAthene names Chang CFO
For the past 11 years, Chang has worked at Rockville, Md.-based Human Genome Sciences, most recently as senior director of finance. Previously, she was an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton and held positions at Grant Thornton and Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals.
PharmAthene develops countermeasures to biological and chemical weapons. In August, it was awarded a $5.7 million contract with the U.S. Defense Department to study and develop medical countermeasures to chemical nerve agents, according to a separate news release. Her age was unavailable at deadline.
