It's no surprise that drug reps have it tough these days. In a new series of ethics and compliance videos, actors from a famed comedy company show just how far a rep will go when he dresses up his two children as medical products and takes them trick-or-treating to a physician's house.
Outliers: Ethics, with a dose of laughs
“What are you supposed to be?” the physician asks one of the trick-or-treaters in the online video. The drug rep replies: “She's a medi-pump! You know, like the little device I brought by your office the other day?”
Corpedia, a firm that provides corporate education for legal and business issues, developed the videos with Second City Communications, the corporate services arm of Chicago-based laugh factory Second City. Other life sciences videos address off-label marketing, the Sunshine Act, and business meals and incentives, according to Corpedia.
“This is training content for the YouTube era that uses humor to get to the truth powerfully and to really connect with people,” Tom Yorton, CEO of Second City Communications, says in a news release.
