TriStar Health System, a division of Nashville-based HCA, named Dr. Doug Ardoin Jr. as its chief medical officer, according to a TriStar news release (DOC).
HCA's TriStar names Ardoin CMO
Ardoin most recently was CMO of HCA's Delta division, based in New Orleans. Before joining HCA, Ardoin was a physician executive with Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston and served a stint as CEO of its flagship, Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.
Ardoin is board certified in family medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School and an MBA from Rice University, both in Houston. His age was unavailable at deadline.
HCA recently announced plans to merge the Delta division with its Kansas City, Mo., division, renaming the combined unit as the MidAmerica division.
