Availity, a health information network based in Jacksonville, Fla., named Russ Thomas to succeed Julie Klapstein as CEO in March 2012.
Availity names incoming CEO
Klapstein will step down as CEO in March but will remain as vice chairwoman of the board of managers, according to an Availity news release. Thomas currently is Availity's president and chief operating officer. He joined the company in 2008 and was previously CEO of Gold Standard, a healthcare database company sold to Reed Elsevier in 2006, according to the release.
In September, Availity named Kelly Heape Parsons to succeed the retiring Margaret Gomez as CFO.
