McMackin, 61, brings more than 20 years of experience in the business. The post is newly created.
“Given the shortage and increasing demand for physicians in our industry, this area of our business has never been more complex,” Steve Houff, CEO of Cogent HMG, said in a news release. “We are delighted to welcome a seasoned executive like Kent to lead our physician services.”
McMackin's responsibilities include focusing on doctor recruitment and retention. Cogent officials say they plan on recruiting 400 physicians next year.
