LifePoint Hospitals, Brentwood, Tenn., has hired a former dialysis company CEO as its new chief development officer, according to a news release.
LifePoint hires Murphy for development officer post
Leif Murphy, 43, will start early next month as a vice president and chief development officer for LifePoint. Murphy most recently was president and CEO of DSI Renal, a Nashville-based dialysis provider. Denver-based DaVita bought DSI for $689 million in September. Previously, Murphy has held executive roles at Caremark, Renal Care Group, National Nephrology Associates and HealthSouth Corp.
Murphy earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Furman University, Greenville, S.C., and a master's in business administration from the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Va.
