Dr. Steven Strongwater has resigned as CEO of Stony Brook University Hospital as part of a leadership reorganization, the hospital said. Strongwater, 57, will step down Nov. 15.
“In order for Stony Brook University Hospital to achieve clinical, fiscal and academic growth, a decision was made some time ago to reorganize the leadership of the health sciences,” according to a statement released by Stony Brook University. “Dr. Strongwater has agreed to step down to enable completion of this reorganization process.”
