Healthcare communications company Diversinet Corp. named two former U.S. Defense Department experts to its executive advisory board, the Toronto-based company announced in a news release.
Diversinet names former Defense experts as advisers
Diversinet named as advisers Dr. Hon Pak, a retired chief information officer for the Office of the Surgeon General's U.S. Army Medical Department; and healthcare information technology consultant Frederick Hannett, according to the release. Pak previously was president of the American Telemedicine Association and oversaw the advanced IT group within the Defense Department's health IT research and development arm, according to Diversinet.
Hannett, formerly budget director and legislative adviser to the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, is vice chairman of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society's Public Policy Committee. Their ages were unavailable at deadline.
