The National Quality Forum today will introduce the beta version of its Quality Positioning System, an online tool that allows users to search for NQF-endorsed quality measures by care setting, condition, data source, keyword, name or number.
NQF launches tool for exploring quality measures online
Users also can create their own lists or "portfolios" to assist them in using the measures for public reporting or other quality programs. Information is available about individual measures' developers and endorsement date, as well as whether they have exclusions or have been risk-adjusted. The NQF was scheduled to host a webinar today at 2 p.m. ET to demonstrate how to use the QPS, which was developed with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Registration information is available here.
"QPS will make it easier to find nationally vetted and endorsed measures, so organizations can more confidently build their public reporting and quality programs to produce comparable and useful performance results," NQF President and CEO Janet Corrigan said in a news release.
