IPractice Group, a Nashville-based healthcare information technology provider, has completed the acquisition of Doctors Access, a healthcare IT company that works with small and midsize independent physician practices.

Details about the financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.
According to an iPractice news release, the deal expands iPractice Group's physician base by more than 20 states. Doctors Access, which also is based in Nashville, will function as a wholly owned subsidiary of iPractice Group.
"Our goal is to help support a growing adoption of healthcare IT solutions by the small practice," said Jason Morgan, co-founder and chief operating officer of iPractice Group, in the release. "The resources of iPractice Group will allow both organizations to reach new markets and provide a stronger support network for our existing customers."
