CareCore National, a specialty benefits management company based in Bluffton, S.C., named Douglas Tardio as its acting CEO. Tardio replaces CareCore co-founder, Chairman and CEO Donald Ryan, who died last week.
CareCore names Tardio acting CEO
Tardio, 44, joined CareCore in 2002 and has been president and COO for seven years, according to a CareCore news release. Prior to joining CareCore, Tardio filled management roles at Aetna and Oxford Health Plans.
Ryan, 64, co-founded CareCore in 1994, according to a separate release. The company's national management committee named Dr. Richard Weininger as chairman last week.
