McLean, Va.-based Science Applications International Corp. has received a contract from HHS to provide full life-cycle operations, maintenance and enhancement services to support the Health Resources and Services Administration's data warehouse.
SAIC awarded HHS data contract
The terms of the agreement call for a one-year base period of performance with five one-year options. If those options are exercised, the contract's total value would be about $15 million, according to an SAIC news release.
According to the company, HRSA's data warehouse was created to serve as a repository for and provide a single access point to HRSA's program information, related health resources, and demographic and statistical data for analyzing HRSA activities. It also supports integrated reporting and mapping capabilities to make the data available to a broad range of users and for a wide range of purposes.
"Under the contract, SAIC will provide operations, maintenance and enhancement services in support of the HDW, including the full life-cycle support for all information technology systems, following the HRSA enterprise performance life cycle as appropriate."
