Dr. Eva Feldman, head of the University of Michigan medical school's neurology department, will start a two-year term as the president of the American Neurological Association.
Neurological group names Feldman president
Feldman's term becomes official Sept. 27 at the association's 136th annual conference in San Diego. She replaces Dr. Robert Macdonald, chairman of the neurology department at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
Feldman isn't the first director of the Taubman Medical Research Institute in Ann Arbor, Mich., to become president of the association, according to a news release from the University of Michigan Health System; the late Russell Dejong served as president in 1965. Feldman, whos age was unavailable at deadline, previously served as ANA vice president.
