Global Health Voyager, a medical tourism services firm, said that it plans to acquire the assets of PlanetHospital from the Healthcare International Network.
Global Health announces deal for PlanetHospital
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to a news release. The deal is expected to close Oct. 1.
Global Health Voyager, a publicly traded company based in Beverly Hills, said that PlanetHospital CEO Rudy Rupak will serve as president of the Global Health Voyager division that will house PlanetHospital.
PlanetHospital, based in Calabasas, Calif., provides medical tourism services outside of the U.S. to Americans. It also works with self-insured employers, insurers and third-party administrators to provide medical travel benefits to employees.
Healthcare International Network is PlanetHospital’s parent company.
