Sage Group has reached a deal to sell its physician electronic health-record subsidiary to Vista Equity Partners, a private-equity firm, for $320 million.
Sage Group to sell U.S. EHR business
Under the terms of the deal, Vista Equity Partners would acquire Sage Software Healthcare, which also offers physician practice management services, according to a Sage news release. The transaction is expected to close in November. Sage Healthcare, the Tampa, Fla.-based U.S. healthcare business of the Sage Group, Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., markets software to primary-care, obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology and orthopedic practices and community health centers, according to the company's website.
