Heart Clinics Northwest, a cardiology practice based in Spokane, Wash., will be acquired by community medical center Kootenai Health, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Kootenai to buy cardio practice
"Kootenai's dedication to excellent patient care mirrors our own commitment to providing our patients with personalized, comprehensive cardiovascular care," Dr. Dean Hill, president of Heart Clinics Northwest, said in a Kootenai news release.
Heart Clinics' 150 employees, including 24 doctors, will join Kootenai, according to the release. Kootenai currently employs 1,800 people and has 317 physicians on staff. Heart Clinics Northwest has offices in Coeur d'Alene, Spokane, and Sandpoint, Idaho. It also has satellite centers, all of which will continue to operate as part of the deal. The two parties expect the acquisition to be completed early next year.
