The MetroHealth System, Cleveland, named Mavis Bechtle as the group's new chief nursing officer, the health system announced.
Bechtle named CNO at MetroHealth Cleveland
Bechtle previously worked as chief nursing officer and vice president for patient care services for the University of Cincinnati and was the school’s associate dean for its college of nursing. She’s served in various executive roles, including interim president/CEO at Mercy Hospital Fairfield (Ohio). She was also the senior consultant in organizational effectiveness for The Health Alliance in Cincinnati.
Bechtle earned a bachelor’s and a master’s in nursing and a family practice nurse practitioner degree from Northern Kentucky University. She replaces Jane Fusilero who left for a chief nursing officer position at Moffat Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.
