Dr. Geeta Nayyar has been named AT&T's first chief medical information officer.
AT&T names Nayyar first CMIO
Nayyar, 33, will oversee AT&T's ForHealth strategy, which seeks to provide industry expertise in evidence-based medicine, health outcomes, disease management and wellness, according to an AT&T news release. She will aid in the company's development of IT solutions for healthcare providers.
Previously, Nayyar worked as principal medical officer at Vangent in Arlington, Va. She also has been chief medical officer at APCO World Wide in Washington. Nayyar currently serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University's division of rheumatology in Washington.
