HealthSouth announces realignment
Mowen, who previously served as controller of HealthSouth’s Mid-Atlantic Region, is 52. Prior to joining HealthSouth in 2005, Mowen held positions at Matria Healthcare, Promina Northwest and Promina Paulding. He reports to HealthSouth Chief Operating Officer Mark Tarr.
The Birmingham, Ala.-based company said in a news release that it had realigned the organization of its hospitals and added a sixth operating region.
The company had previously organized its hospitals in five operating regions: Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Southeast, Texas and West, according to a HealthSouth spokeswoman.
“Our development plans are accelerating as expected and, to maintain our clinical and operational focus while positioning the company for future expansion, we are realigning our hospitals and adding a new region to our organizational infrastructure,” said Jay Grinney, president and CEO of HealthSouth, in a news release.
Following the reorganization, which is effective Sept. 1, Frank Brown will be president of the Southwest Region; Jerry Gray will be president of the West Region; Peter Mantegazza will be president of the Northeast Region; Terry Maxhimer will be president of the Central Region; and Linda Wilder will be president of the Southeast Region.
