He will be responsible for leading the company's expansion in the Asia-Pacific region when he starts Sept. 1. Mathur is 55.
Englund, 49, is a former vice president at the International Dialysis Centers, which was acquired by DaVita competitor Fresenius Medical Care in January. He started leading DaVita's European operations Sept. 1.
“These appointments signal a sharp focus and long-term commitment to international growth,” said DaVita Chairman and CEO Kent Thiry in a news release. “Developing global markets will play an important role in our long-term expansion strategy.”
