Axiom Systems, a healthcare information technology company, has acquired Ivertex Internet Solutions, an administrative software company that does business as Ivertex.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed in an Axiom news release.
Ivertex, based in Phoenix, counts more than 3,500 healthcare customers among its clients, according to the release. Ivertex develops software for healthcare billing Health Insurance and Portability and Accountability Act compliance. Axiom gains access to healthcare providers as potential clients under the deal, CEO Richard Howe said in the release. Jeff Benjamin, Ivertex CEO, has been named Axiom's chief technology officer.
