Sound Physicians, a Tacoma, Wash.-based hospitalist organization, has acquired the Bay Area Inpatient Group hospitalist practice, which operates out of the 106-bed NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Calif., and 47-bed VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville, Calif. Both institutions are part of the NorthBay Healthcare System, a two-hospital organization based in Fairfield. Terms were not disclosed.
Sound Physicians buys Bay Area Inpatient Group
Both hospitals will now use Sound Physicians' performance-management and clinical-process informatics systems, according to a Sound Physicians news release (PDF).
Last month, Sound Physicians acquired Kenwood Hospitalists, a group that practices at Cincinnati's 209-bed Jewish Hospital.
