Medicaid Health Plans of America, a trade association for Medicaid health plans, named Michelle Martin director of the association's new Center for Best Practices.
Martin to direct MHPA best-practices center
In her new role, Martin will oversee the center's efforts to improve care quality and access for Medicaid benificiaries through in-depth research of plans' clinical and operational best practices, according to an MHPA news release. The center, in partnership with outside research teams, will work to identify data-based solutions to health problems, according to the release.
Martin most recently served as director of public-policy firm the Raben Group in the firm's Washington office. Previously, she worked at First Recovery Group, which provides cost-management services to health plans. At First Recovery, Martin helped clients address compliance issues related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, according to the release. Her age was unavailable at deadline.
