Universal Health Services, King of Prussia, Pa., has hired Marvin Pember as senior vice president and named him president of its acute-care division, according to a news release.
Pember takes division president post at UHS
Pember, 57, is leaving his position as CFO of Indiana University Health, Indianapolis, on July 29, according to a release from IU Health. Pember joined the system in 1999, when it was known as Clarian Health.
Pember replaces Michael Marquez; Universal announced in September 2010 that Marquez was leaving the company for personal and family reasons. At the time, Marc Miller, Universal’s president and son of Universal Chairman and CEO Alan Miller, took over duties as president of the acute-care division on an interm basis.
