Kaiser IT workers unionize
Elizabeth Brennan, a spokeswoman for the union, said Kaiser agreed to recognize the union after more than half the workers signed cards endorsing representation. Kaiser voluntarily agreed to bypass an election overseen by the National Labor Relations Board, she said. The NLRB certified the card-check vote June 30, according to an SEIU news release. Kaiser's information technology workers will conduct a survey of priorities ahead of contract negotiations, according to the release.
