Sanford Research tapped Dr. H. Eugene Hoyme, most recently chief medical officer for Sanford Children's Hospital, to be president of the not-for-profit research organization.
Sanford Children's CMO named president of Sanford Research
Sanford Research was developed by Sanford Health, a 16-hospital system based in Sioux Falls, S.D., and the University of South Dakota. Sanford Children's Hospital also is in Sioux Falls.
Hoyme, 60, previously served as senior vice president for children's services at Sanford Health and as professor and chairman of the pediatrics department at the University of South Dakota's Sanford School of Medicine, according to a news release. Before returning to South Dakota in 2007, he was professor and chief of the division of medical genetics and associate chairman of the pediatrics department at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif.
He replaces Ben Perryman, who retired. Hoyme reports to Dave Link, senior executive vice president at Sanford Health.
