Catalyst Health Solutions, a pharmacy benefits manager based in Rockville, Md., announced that CFO Hai Tran will resign from the company July 15 to pursue other business opportunities. Deirdre Kramer, currently corporate controller and senior vice president of finance, will serve as interim CFO, according to a news release.
Catalyst Health CFO to step down
Kramer joined Catalyst in 2005. Previously, she was director of finance and accounting for Eckerd Health Services, the pharmacy benefit management subsidiary of Eckerd Corp., purchased by CVS Caremark in 2004. Tran's and Kramer's ages were unavailable at deadline.
In March, Walgreen Co. announced that it would sell its PBM business to Catalyst for $525 million in cash; that deal is expected to close this month, according to the release. Last year, Catalyst agreed to buy the PBM subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Independence Blue Cross for $225 million.
