SAIC wins IT planning contract from VA
According to a news release from McLean, Va.-based SAIC, the contract has a one-year base period and two one-year options for work that will be done mainly in Washington.
The company will help the Information and Technology Office develop a repeatable planning process for its health IT initiatives. This will include the development of performance metrics and a resources management plan. SAIC also will assist with support functions, business strategy analysis and training. The Information and Technology Office provides technology services across the VA.
Earlier this month, SAIC announced that it had received a four-year contract from the U.S. Defense Department to help upgrade the department's electronic health-record system.
