The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange is searching for a new president and CEO following the April announcement that Jim Schuping plans to retire at year-end. Schuping, 69, is WEDI's executive vice president and CEO and has been with the Reston, Va.-based organization for 15 years, according to a news release (PDF).
WEDI CEO Schuping to retire
The company does not currently have a president, a spokeswoman said.
WEDI plans to wrap up interviews and choose a candidate to fill the top position by this fall, which will allow enough time for Schuping to work alongside the new president and CEO for several months, said Donald Bechtel, WEDI's board chairman, in the release.
According to the job posting, interested applicants should respond by June 24.
