Community Health Network, Indianapolis, has appointed Ronald Strachan as chief information officer, filling a position that has been vacant since former CIO Ed Koschka retired in October, according to a news release from the system.

Strachan
Strachan is managing about 150 employees in the new job, according to the release. He is responsible for developing an "enterprisewide vision of technology" as well as leading the effort to design and implement plans to support the system's IT strategy, which includes the integration of electronic health records.
Strachan previously served as CIO at healthcare organizations in Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota and Ohio. His age was unavailable at deadline.
