MedSynergies, Irving, Texas, has hired Bill Scarnato in the newly created position of managing director of business development, according to a company news release.

MedSynergies offers consulting, revenue-cycle management, practice management and business process analysis services as well as software integration tools. In his new role, Scarnato will work with customers on managing their hospital-physician infrastructure and coordinating medical homes and accountable care organizations, according to the release.
Scarnato, 55, most recently was vice president of business development at QHR, the hospital management arm of Community Health Systems, Franklin, Tenn. He also has served as senior vice president of operations and business development at Compirion Healthcare Solutions and as executive vice president and a principal at West Hudson, a healthcare management consulting firm acquired by Cardinal Health. Scarnato was a vice president and general manager of Cardinal's operational improvement consulting practice.
