Baptist Health South Florida in Coral Gables has appointed a radiology and nuclear-medicine expert to lead its new medical group, which currently includes 75 physicians and is expected to triple in size in coming years, according to a news release from the system.
VP named for Baptist Health Medical Group
Dr. Jack Ziffer was named corporate vice president for Baptist Health Medical Group, which is organizing efforts with Baptist's employed physicians as well as others in the community who are interested in contractual affiliation, according to the release.
Ziffer formerly served as president and CEO of Radiology Associates of South Florida, Miami, and as the chief of radiology at Baptist Hospital of Miami and has held numerous association and society leadership posts. He recently received an award from the American Heart Association for pioneering scientific research and medical contributions to cardiovascular disease studies, according to the release.
