The Lewin Group, a Falls Church, Va.-based subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, named Dr. Paul Wallace senior vice president and director of its Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research.
Wallace joins Lewin Group as director, senior VP
Wallace, 59, most recently was the medical director for health and productivity management programs at Kaiser Permanente's The Permanente Federation. He now reports to Lisa Chimento, CEO of The Lewin Group.
Wallace also has served on the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's National Advisory Council, the CMS' Medicare Coverage Advisory Committee, the National Committee for Quality Assurance's Committee on Performance Measurement and the Veterans Administration's Center for Management of Complex Chronic Care.
The Lewin Group created the Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research in 2009. Senior Vice President Clifford Goodman served as acting director of the center until Wallace's appointment in early April.
