A work group of the federal Health Information Technology Standards Committee announced it is seeking comments on its electronic health-record system temporary certification program.
Implementation work group seeks certification comments
Through its implementation work group, the Standards Committee will use the comments to make recommendations to the full standards committee regarding the EHR Certification Program for Stage 2 meaningful-use requirements. Noting that the committee has been certifying EHR technology on Stage 1 meaningful-use requirements for almost a year, the work group stated on its Federal Advisory Committee Blog that its goal is "to obtain feedback on the process for communicating the testing and certification criteria, as well as for testing and certifying the EHR technology."
Comments can be submitted through the blog or via a downloaded copy of the survey and are due 5 p.m. ET on June 17.
