Christus Health, Irving, Texas, named Randy Safady its new executive vice president and chief financial officer. Safady, 55, currently executive vice president and CFO of Centura Health, Englewood, Colo., replaces Jay Herron, senior vice president and CFO, who will be leaving Christus as part of a management reorganization (See story, p. 20).
Late News: Christus appoints Safady its new executive VP, CFO
Herron will act as a consultant to Christus immediately following his departure. In its latest fiscal year ended June 30, 2010, Christus reported net income of $63.2 million on net patient revenue of $3.3 billion, an improvement from the previous year's net loss of $266.4 million on revenue of $3.1 billion, a year that included $223.3 million in investment losses.
