MDeverywhere, a revenue-cycle management company serving physicians, has acquired Advanced Health Management Services, a practice-management and credentialing-services provider, according to a news release (PDF). Both companies are based in Hauppauge, N.Y.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but according to the release, El Segundo, Calif.-based Marlin Equity Partners, a majority shareholder in MDeverywhere, funded the acquisition. MDeverywhere was founded in 1995 and provides Web-based practice-management software and contract monitoring tools, among other products, according to the release. AHMS has offered consulting and business-management services to healthcare providers since 1996.
"Today, the physician credentialing process and practice-management consulting service are critical components of the revenue-cycle process, and acquiring a market leader like AHMS will enable us to offer a broader set of critical services to our clients," MDeverywhere CEO Ann Bilyew said in the release.
