Dr. Lynn Mitchell was named chief medical officer of OU Physicians and associate dean for clinical affairs at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, both in Oklahoma City, effective June 1.
OU Physicians names CMO
Mitchell, whose age was unavailable at deadline, was CMO and deputy commissioner for prevention and preparedness services for the Oklahoma Health Department.
She replaces Dr. C. Douglas Folger, who retired in December after serving 15 years in the position, according to a news release.
Mitchell served as a member of the OU College of Medicine faculty from 1989 to 1995 and also held an adjunct appointment in the OU College of Public Health.
