Elsevier, an Amsterdam-based scientific and health information publisher, has acquired Fisterra.com, an online Spanish-language clinical reference publisher, according to an Elsevier news release.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, said an Elsevier spokesperson. The company, which is based in La Coruña, Spain, was founded by two primary-care doctors and a medical librarian in 2002.
Fisterra's portfolio includes clinical guides and protocols, a clinical drug database with dosage calculators, a vaccination tool, continuing medical-education content and materials for patients, according to the release.
