CVS Caremark Corp. said that the Securities and Exchange Commission has requested information about the company's 2009 public disclosures relating to its pharmacy benefits management and Medicare Part D businesses.
SEC queries CVS Caremark on PBM, Part D businesses
The Woonsocket, R.I.-based company received the subpoena Feb. 28, according to its SEC filing.
CVS Caremark said in the filing that it is cooperating with requests for corporate records for its PBM and Medicare Part D businesses, as well as “information concerning ownership and transactions in the company's securities by certain officers of the company.”
According to the filing, CVS Caremark said that its management does not believe that the outcome of this and other legal issues will have a material adverse effect on its operating results or financial performance.
