NaviNet, a health information software provider based in Boston, has named Dr. S. Michael Ross chief medical officer, according to a news release.
NaviNet names Ross CMO
Ross previously served as chief medical officer and senior vice president of business development at Prematics, a Bethesda, Md.-based mobile health applications provider that NaviNet acquired in 2010. In his new role at NaviNet, he is responsible for leading the company's clinical direction and guiding NaviNet teams as they develop products and services for healthcare professionals and health plans, according to the release. He reports to NaviNet President and CEO Bradley Waugh. Ross' age was unavailable at deadline.
