MedProperties Capital Partners, a healthcare real-estate private-equity company, has acquired a 30-bed surgical hospital from National Surgical Hospitals. MedProperties announced the deal in an e-mailed news release; financial terms were not disclosed.
MedProperties buys surgical hospital
National Surgical Hospitals, based in Chicago, and a group of physicians will lease the South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital from the Dallas-based MedProperties, according to the release. The one-story spine and orthopedic hospital is based in San Antonio. MedProperties invests in single-tenant specialty facilities and multitenant medical office buildings, according to the release.
