Vanderbilt Health System, Nashville, has named Dr. Allen Kaiser chief of staff. Kaiser currently serves as chief of staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and as vice chairman of clinical affairs for Vanderbilt University School of Medicine's department of medicine. He will maintain his role as the medical center's chief of staff but will transition away from the vice chairman position, which he has held since 1988, according to a Vanderbilt news release.

In his new role, Kaiser will be charged with providing clinical and program leadership and ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care, according to the release. He will also help develop and implement clinical operating policies and procedures and practice and productivity standards. Kaiser's age was unavailable at deadline.
