Phillip Suiter has been named president and CEO of DigiChart, a Brentwood, Tenn.-based software vendor that specializes in electronic health records and practice management tools tailored for women's-health practices. Suiter, 53, succeeds Dr. G. William Bates, who founded the company, according to a DigiChart news release. Bates will remain as chairman of DigiChart's board.
DigiChart names Suiter CEO
Suiter most recently served as president and CEO of Transaction Tracking Technologies, a financial transaction processing company also based in Brentwood. He also was director of strategic projects for Vanderbilt University Medical Center's medicine department.
Suiter has held leadership posts at a number of other healthcare companies, including Stinger Medical, where he served as president and CEO, and NotifyMD, where he was president and chief operating officer.
