Bob Lanik, the current CEO of St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, a 257-bed Catholic Health Initiatives hospital in Lincoln, Neb., is transitioning into the newly created full-time role of CEO of CHI Nebraska. A search to replace Lanik at St. Elizabeth will begin this month and is expected to take six months, a hospital news release said.
Lanik takes new post as CEO of CHI Nebraska
Lanik, whose age was not given, started at St. Elizabeth in 1974 as director of cost accounting and was promoted to CEO of the hospital in 1984. Lanik has also been the CHI's senior vice president of divisional operations for more than three years.
Along with St. Elizabeth, CHI Nebraska consists of Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney; St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island; St. Mary's Community Hospital, Nebraska City; The Physician Network, a multispecialty organization with 116 doctors at 22 sites; and HealthConnect at Home.
