The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health are partnering with the mHealth Alliance and the National Institutes of Health to expand the scope of the 2011 mHealth Summit, HIMSS and the FNIH have announced.
HIMSS, Foundation for NIH partner for mHealth summit
The 2011 mHealth Summit will take place Dec. 5-7 in Washington. The not-for-profit, Washington-based mHealth Alliance was formed in 2009 by the Rockefeller Foundation, the United Nations Foundation and the Vodafone Foundations and includes among its partners the GSM Association, the European mobile-telecommunications standards development organization.
"HIMSS welcomes this opportunity to partner with FNIH on the mHealth Summit as we develop end-user-focused educational sessions and the Health IT Pavilion on the exhibit floor," HIMSS President and CEO Stephen Lieber said in a news release. "Both of these additions to the conference will give attendees innovative options to help them learn more about mobile health applications to help improve healthcare delivery with IT."
