Cigna has named Mark Boxer as the company's new chief information officer.
Cigna names new CIO
Boxer is a former leader of the Philadelphia-based insurer's e-commerce practice. He succeeds Philip Emond, who is retiring from Cigna this summer.
Boxer most recently was group president of government healthcare for ACS/Xerox and global deputy chief information officer for Xerox Corp. He also has served as CIO for Indianapolis-based WellPoint.
Boxer will join Cigna on April 25 and work with Emond during the transition period. Boxer's age was not immediately available.
